1992 - 1998: research associate at the Institute for Power Electronics and Electrical Drives ISEA at the University of Technology Aachen
1998: dissertation about „Battery management for valve regulated lead acid batteries in UPS systems“
1998 - 2000: project manager in the development department “System Engineering“ of the company Vossloh Kiepe GmbH
2000 - 2005: head of the group “Drive System Development“ in the department “System Engineering“ of the company Vossloh Kiepe GmbH,
responsible for the power train development.
since 2005: professor at Cologne University of Applied Sciences, research & teaching field: automation engineering, power electronics and electrical drives
