Dr. ir Robert van den Hoed (M) is Professor Energy and Innovation at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. Van den Hoed received his Master and PhD at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering at the Delft University of Technology, after which he worked as senior consultant at Ecofys (2004-2010), an international consultancy specialized in sustainable energy. At Ecofys he was responsible for developing an expertise center around hydrogen, fuel cells and electric mobility. In 2011 Van den Hoed started at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences to set up a research agenda in the field of Electric Mobility, GreenIT and Smart Energy. Particular research focus lies in charging infrastructure roll out optimization through data analysis, energy modelling, consumer research and policy analyses.
