David Ansean Gonzalez
BiographyDavid Anseán received the B.Sc. degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Granada in 2007, the M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2011, and the Ph.D. degree in 2015, both at the University of Oviedo, Spain.
After compliting his M.Sc. he gained industry experience in the UK and in Berkeley, CA, USA, to later join the University of Oviedo in 2010. In 2013, he was awarded with a predoctoral research fellowship at the Electrochemical Power Systems Laboratory, at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, USA, under the supervision of Dr. B.Y. Liaw. In 2015-16 he was a Research Assistant at the University of Oviedo. During 2016, he was appointed with a post-doctoral fellowship at the Hawaii Natural Energy Institute, under the supervision of Dr. Matthieu Dubarry.
He is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Oviedo in the Electrical Engineering Department. His main research activities include the study of the degradation mechanisms in lithium-ion batteries via non-invasive methods, battery fast charging, and battery testing and characterization.
